Beware of a new Covid scam - 31/12/2020
We have been made aware that a new Covid scam has been reaching people. It is likely that there are/will be others similar to this case.
The consumer had received a text message from
+44 7943 028442
stating:
"NHS: We have identified that your are eligibe for your vaccine. For more information and to apply, follow here application -ukform.com"
Please note the incorrect use of 'your' instead of 'you'.
The complainant advised when he followed the link it took him to a copy of an NHS website and also provided links to the real NHS website. On the final page personal information was requested including name, date of birth, address, a payment card (to check billing) and proof of address. There was also a spelling mistake on the website.
