The application form plays an important part in our selection process and should be completed as fully and effectively as possible, in black ink. Please ensure you sign and date the application form, where indicated. Please ensure you provide a daytime contact telephone number, so if necessary we can speak to you during the normal working day. This is particularly important if we need to arrange an interview at short notice. We do not accept CV's but if you wish to enclose any additional sheets with your application, please feel free to do so where necessary. Please allow sufficient time when returning your completed application to us, so that we receive it by the closing date detailed on the job pack covering letter. Late applications cannot be guaranteed consideration. Please do not e-mail or fax your completed application back to us. We require original forms in the post. posting your application form back please ensure you allow for the
correct postage on your envelope - if it is not sufficient, it is the
recipient who is charged the outstanding amount, plus a handling fee by
the Royal Mail. We are not able to acknowledge receipt of applications but you can ring Central Services to check that your application has been received, Unfortunately we are only able to contact those applicants who are shortlisted. If we have not contacted you by the date specified in the job pack covering letter, unfortunately we will not be progressing with your application. We aim to shortlist within five working days of the closing date but this is sometime difficult to achieve when a vacancy attracts a high number of applicants. Reasonable interview expenses will be paid where appropriate.
