You can now bring all your housing benefit information direct to Solon to verify on your behalf.
Great news, the housing officers at Solon have recently been through training with Bristol City Council, to allow them to verify all housing benefit information on the council's behalf.
What this means is that you will now be able provide your housing officer with all requested proof i.e. income proof, identification proof, claim forms and we will then be able to send this onto the housing benefit department on your behalf.
This will allow us to be able to confirm that you have sent information off to the benefits team, even if they then mislay it. Our records will also be accepted as proof that you did in fact provide all information requested of you.
This should help with the speed at which our residents claims are assessed and should also make sorting out complex claim issues much easier.
This change takes immediate effect, so please remember to either come into the office with your claim form and information, or if you have mobility problems, give the office a call and your housing officer will either send you a pre-paid envelope or pop out to visit you to collect the information.
